Pay Rate

The Position:



Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Coordinator, Human Resources will assist in coordinating the high performing human resources department where adaptability

,

compassion and diligence are the hallmarks. The Coordinator, Human Resources will primarily coordinate the full cycle of activity associated with recruitment, onboarding, and records management, while supporting payroll processing, employee relations, and general administration.

What You'll Do:



Employee Lifecycle and Payroll:

You will implement full-cycle recruitment and selection process, through up-to-date job descriptions, postings, sourcing, advertising, screening, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, and providing consultation and assistance to line management as necessary. You will coordinate new employee on-boarding by preparing new hire welcome packages, scheduling orientation, ensuring employee file is complete, and tracking probation and anniversaries. You will support the employee departure process, including arranging exit surveys, preparing ROEs, and providing verification of employment letters upon request. You will support the delivery of accurate and timely Payroll processing via Ceridian Dayforce to employees, working closely with the Manager, Human Resourcesand the Finance department to keep track of changes and issues as they arise.

Administration

: You will maintain all necessary records of employees, including abeyance tracking (probation, anniversary, status changes, discipline, etc.), ensuring all necessary forms and documents are completed and returned. You will support the upkeeping of Ceridian Dayforce HCM by inputting and updating employee information, upkeeping recruitment and onboarding modules and system policies. You will assist the Manager, Human Resources with reviewing and updating policies and processes, and timely HR metrics reporting. You will assist the Manager, Human Resourceswith ensuring organizational compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations (e.g., ESA, AODA, OHSA).

Employee Relations and Professionalism

: You will provide general HR support by responding to general HR inquiries and serving as the first point of contact for employees, escalating issues as necessary. You will proactively relay potential issues to the Manager, Human Resources*. You will maintain the appropriate level of professional knowledge, skill and ability, using all available sources, procedures and tools.

What You'll Bring:



Education & Experience

: You have a post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field. CHRP or CHRL Candidate an asset. You have 2 + years' experience in Human Resources, Office Administration, or related experience. You have experience with HRMS and Payroll systems.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

:

You have knowledge of inclusion, accessibility, and accommodation

. You have a working knowledge of employment standards in Ontario. You are proficient in Microsoft Office products. You exhibit a high level of confidentiality and trust and are capable of handling sensitive and confidential information. You have well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building skills and are able to establish rapport with people of diverse backgrounds.

Administrative Requirements:

You have a

current, clear criminal record check for the vulnerable sector, which is required.
