JOB SUMMARY

The Coordinator, HR Learning & Development will play a key role in planning, implementing, and monitoring initiatives that align with the City's Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging policies, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and inclusive growth.

This position focuses on coordinating strategic priorities such as leadership development, succession planning, and skill enhancement for new and existing staff. The ideal candidate will be a strong collaborator, adept at building partnerships and working across teams to achieve shared goals. Their work will directly contribute to cultivating a thriving, inclusive, and future-ready workforce.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completion of university degree in Commerce, Business or Public Administration, Human Resources, Adult Education or related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a large organization with related experience in the planning and implementation of human resources activities including recruitment and selection and/or learning and development strategies.

Human Resources Planning Career development strategies Adult education principles and practices Project management principles and techniques Planning and performance measurement Skills requirements for outcome based, high performing organization Training and development evaluation methodology Marketing and communication strategies Computer and related software (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers.
