The Opportunity
Keyano College's Department of Athletics & Recreation is in search of a dedicated full-time Permanent Head Coach for the Women's Soccer & Futsal Team and Coordinator for Home Game Management. The chosen individual will be tasked with coaching and administering Keyano College's women's soccer and futsal programs. In addition, this position plays a vital role in coordinating and providing some supervision of all facets of home athletic events to guarantee seamless operations.
Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, successful applicant will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager, Athletic Operations/Head Coach, Men's Basketball, the accountabilities for this role include:
Lead and manage the Women's Soccer/Futsal program with a clear vision and ambitious goals that inspire student athletes and fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and dedication to cultivate a winning mentality on and off the field.
Design and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance individual skills and team performance through innovative drills, tactical exercises, and conditioning sessions, aiming to develop well-rounded student athletes capable of competing at the highest level.
Analyze opponents to design game strategies and tactics leveraging team strengths and exploiting weaknesses. Employ a dynamic approach adapting to each opponent to increase success chances and maintain a competitive edge throughout the season.
Sustaining program success by attracting, identifying and recruiting talented student athletes with exceptional skills, who also align with the team's culture and values.
Prioritizing the holistic development of all student-athletes beyond soccer/futsal games and the season, this position provides guidance and support to nurture their academic and personal growth.
Ensuring compliance with ACAC/CCAA rules and regulations is vital.
This position must guarantee that the Women's Soccer/Futsal programs operate with the highest integrity, adhering to all guidelines concerning recruiting, eligibility, and player welfare.
KEYANO COLLEGE | People & Culture
Coordinate every aspect of home athletic events, from scheduling facilities to managing logistics, ensuring a seamless experience for all involved.
Responsible for creating a positive experience for spectators by managing ticketing, concessions, and hospitality services.
Ensures visiting teams are accommodated with well-equipped dressing rooms and address any logistical needs for their comfort and readiness.
Ensure the readiness of athletic facilities for events by collaborating with Guest Services and college maintenance staff. This involves maintaining optimal condition, cleanliness, and provision of necessary resources to support games and events effectively.
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders including coaches, athletic administrators, officials, and visiting teams to ensure successful execution of home athletic events. Provide timely updates, address concerns, and accommodate specific needs to ensure everyone is well-informed and prepared for the event.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
A Diploma in Education, Sport Management, or any other relevant equivalent.
Minimum Coaching Certification: C License and NCCP Level II are preferred.
A minimum of three years of coaching experience, preferably at the College/University or national level, or equivalent, is preferred.
Possession of a B National License and NCCP Level III is desirable.
