Coordinator, Health Emergency Management

Salary:

$66,597 - $83,246 - $91,571 per year (pay range explained below)

Contract:

Permanent

Hours:

37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)

Location:

Fraser Salish Region, BC, located on the ancestral territories of the Sto:lo Nations - Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA's flex work policy.

About the role



As Coordinator, Health Emergency Management (HEM), you will play a key role in strengthening community emergency response and preparedness. You will be collaborating with First Nations communities within the Fraser Salish Region, Fraser Health Authority, and other health and wellness partners to design and implement integrated emergency response strategies; in alignment with the overarching Fraser Salish Regional Health and Wellness Service Plan.

About you



To be successful in this role you will have/be -

Education



A background or a Diploma in Arts, Sociology, Social Work, Social Services, or another relevant field with demonstrated coursework/experience in First Nations studies, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

Experience



3-4 years of recent, relevant experience coordinating and delivering Mental Health & Wellness programs and services within First Nations communities. Experience working with regional health authority systems and services, particularly in areas of Health & Wellness with First Nations individuals, communities and organizations.

Knowledge



In-depth knowledge of First Nation traditional wellness, cultural protocols and traditional practices. Familiarity with the BC healthcare system, the current landscape of BC First Nations health, and First Nations health system needs. Understanding of the importance of relationship-based care to provide holistic, culturally safe, coordinated, and high-quality services.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.

Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.

The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
