Salary band: $42,473- $53,091 / year

The incumbent will support BC & Yukon programs with budget and finance-related tasks, awareness and oversight, with additional support provided to Emergency Management.

In this role, you will:

  • Carries out the PDCT Admin function in times of emergency response activation.
  • Prepares cash reports and bank deposits for general revenue, credit cards, disaster appeals and donations. Receive, code, process, and deposit funds including donations and grants. Ensure all donations meet required processing guidelines for charitable receipting practices as set out by the CRC receipting practices (in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines).
  • Supports tracking and reporting on funds in alignment with donor and CRC requirements and maintain file backup of all amounts received and expended.
  • Liaises with Purchasing Agent, vendors, and the National Payment Centre to ensure payment of invoices and investigation of overdue/outstanding accounts payable.
  • Ensures timely and accurate processing of goods & services vouchers in close conjunction with the Emergency Management team, and act as Payment Card Administrator for Prepaid Card program in BC& Yukon. Oversee other forms of gift cards.
  • Helps complete the monthly reconciliation for administrative processes such as vehicle mileage tracking, postage and copying expenses. Act as a BC Administrator of Papercut as designated
  • Identifies areas for volunteer involvement, develops training materials, delivers training, builds, and maintains team of volunteers to support day to day work and response related activities.
  • Contributes to vacation coverage, in-office supports when needed, and other functions of overall BC & Yukon Business Support team.
What we are looking for:
  • The minimum qualifications for this job include post secondary education in office administration or a related field.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of job-related work experience, including managing and maintaining files, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluency in English is required, French is an asset.
  • Demonstrates strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
  • Experience working with and supporting volunteers, creating, and maintaining files.
  • Be flexible, able to work independently and as a team member while following policy directives.
Working conditions:
  • Most of the work is performed in an office or home office environment.
  • Travel throughout the province may occasionally be required.
  • May be required to work non-traditional hours, be on-call, and respond.
