Providing leadership to the multi-disciplinary team, this position coordinates and facilitates daily clinical activities, ensuring effective use of resources reflective of the MHSU vision and mission. Acts as the communication liaison between members of the multi-disciplinary team, as well as other health care professionals and administrative personnel outside the unit/service. Supervises and evaluates staff, provides leadership and functions as a role model and coach to assist staff with professional development and achievement of unit/service/program goals. Takes a long-range view of operations and patient/client/resident service delivery and follows through on issues that impact on the overall quality of patient/client/resident care provided. Develops policies and procedures/ standards for operationalizing patient/client/resident care at unit/service level. Contributes to the monitoring and development of the operating plan. Provides leadership within the unit/service for quality and risk management activities. Engages in program and community development when appropriate and as directed.QUALIFICATIONS:Education, Training And ExperienceMaster\'s degree in a related health discipline from an approved post-secondary institution, plus five to seven years\' recent related experience, including 2 years relevant clinical experience (working knowledge of mental health and alcohol and drug addiction issues, including assessments, planning and support provision for the focus population such as supported housing, homeless outreach crisis counselling or similar work environments), and 2 years supervisory experience is required. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Current practicing Registration with the Professional Practice Body of the discipline. Valid BC Drivers license.Skills And Abilities

Link to Full Additional information for applicantsThis requisition is for a Team Lead position, providing leadership and supervision in the Supportive Recovery Program. The successful candidate will provide clinical and operational oversight within the program. The candidate will need access to a reliable vehicle to attend program sites to meet with the team and provide occasional coverage. The program consists of three sites: The Grove, Holly Place, and Comerford Supportive Recovery. The Grove is a 10-bed, men\'s only, bed-based recovery service. Holly Place is a 6-bed, women\'s only, bed-based recovery service. Comerford Supportive Recovery is a 10-bed, co-ed site for those who require support transitioning from the SR program into the community. The Supportive Recovery program is focused on maintaining a substance-free environment in which clients can work on their recovery goals. Participants in the program are provided psychosocial supports from Addictions & Recovery Workers on-site and are also connected with the Program Clinician to have counselling and treatment planning needs met. The SR Program works closely with other Addictions services at Island Health including Detox, Stabilization, Journey, and Addictions Outpatient Treatment.
