Required Qualifications

• Diploma required / Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
• 1-year directly related experience in Esports Competition & Coaching.
• Strong knowledge of ACAC and CCAA policies.
• Experience in the implementation of programs with a strong emphasis on details.
• Well-developed coaching and team-building skills required to lead student teams of athletes, online coaches, assistant coaches, and volunteers.
• Professional administration of technical elements are needed alongside an ability to speak in public.
• High level of commitment to quality work product and organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance.
• Strong interpersonal skills with clear, reliable, and transparent communication are required both digitally and verbally.
• Ability to manage time, projects, and deadlines.
• Ability to operate computer equipment in eSports Arena including knowledge of gaming platforms and supporting websites.
• Capability to troubleshoot equipment hardware, software, and infrastructure as related to optimal gaming experience: including, but not limited to, Windows operating systems, social media aptitude; Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with desktop and web-based conferencing tools Skype, Skype Business, Microsoft Lync, Webex, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Event management and fundraising/sales/ sponsorship skills are preferred.

Keyano College Athletic Department is looking for an Esports Arena Coordinator/Esports Coach to develop and implement all aspects of a competitive Esports program. Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation, the Esports Arena Coordinator/Esports Coach will be instrumental in initiating this exciting new sport for our student athletes and Athletics department while adhering to all College policies and procedures. Core job functions includes the following:

Coaching:

• Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to develop students both academically and athletically
• Schedules and provides instruction for all practices, competitions, and events
• Instructs, teach, and coach students during practice and competition
• Conducts video analysis and instruction as a teaching and preparation tool
• Instruct athletes in practice methods and procedures
• Establishes quality and quantity standards and ensures that they are met
• Establishes practice priorities and schedules
• Discusses athletes work performance
• Identifies and takes corrective action on performance problems
• Conducts the interviewing and selection of new athletes
• Supervision and maintenance of the \xe2\x80\x9cEsports arena\xe2\x80\x9d space

Recruiting:

• Identify, evaluate and recruit potential Esports student athletes to Keyano College in accordance with College policies and procedures
• Recruit and retain students as team members and ensures that the program meet annual requirements
• Coordinate recruitment and scholarship activities
• Ensure students meet Keyano\'s Athletics eligibility requirements to participate.
• Collaborate to execute a comprehensive Esports marketing plan.

Other duties

• Effectively plan and implement Esports events in a complex environment.
• Responsible for scheduling, budget control, public relations, program promotions, academic support, and retention of students
• Work closely with other departments and the campus community to educate and continue to build the Esports program within the College.
• Work closely with local schools to help promote and grow the sport of Esports in the community.
• Represent Keyano\'s Esports Program at appropriate provincial committees
