We are looking for a Coordinator, Document Control who will be a part of a team that is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of operational document control systems to maximize efficiency, meet changing business needs, and align to global standardized requirements.
This position is a great opportunity to grow your capability at an interesting location. The incumbent works a 2 week on, 2 week off rotation at the Lac de Gras Mine Site
Coordinate document control and records management
Perform quality assurance for controlled documents, such as correct document number, title, revision, effective date, and approvals.
Following Document Control System for timely management of documents requiring review and or approval and provide notification upon receipt of documents. Managing document through its lifecycle.
Champion workforce engagement and buy in of sustainable Document Control strategy, processes, and policies.
Following processes and procedures related to record keeping and disposition in conjunction with Life of Mine and Closure requirements.
Assist in successfully meeting conformance of HSEQMS Standards for Document Control and Management of Change (MOC).
Coordinate day-day of business collaboration tools including but limited to; inward facing communication platforms and repositories.
Ensure compliance of DDMI Retention Schedule, per Rio Tinto Schedule.
Championing the document control through various departments across site.
Maintaining and completing data entry related to document control as required.
Perform document searches as and when required.
Perform additional project work assigned and approved by the Supervisor, PL&CMX.

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
Education in a related field is an asset
A minimum of two years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in systems support role
A minimum of three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in document control or record management related role
Proficient with all Microsoft office applications
Proficiency with SharePoint highly regarded
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively resolve problems and make sound decisions
Ability to work independently in a results driven setting
Northern residency and experience working in a cross-cultural environment, coupled with knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities presented to those living in the North, are assets. Hiring priority will be given to qualified applicants who are beneficiaries of the DDMI Participation Agreement Groups and to qualified applicants residing in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut Territories.
