Our expectations: Reporting to the Distribution Centre Director and working in collaboration with the entire management team and the distribution centre\xe2\x80\x99s Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), the Distribution Center Coordinator will be responsible for supporting all operational activities. The incumbent will track projects and human resource processes in addition to ensuring the execution of administrative tasks related to training, payroll, and a variety of activities to support operations for the Milton distribution centre.

  • Location: Milton Distribution Centre

  • Shift: Monday to Friday, Day Shift
  • Note: This is a temporary position (12 months contract - Maternity Leave)

Your role:
  • Coordinate and update all key performance indicators and keep track of notice boards
  • Work with various stakeholders within the Operations team to harmonize documents and reports needed for the distribution centre to function properly
  • Ensure the distribution of operational and corporate communications
  • Coordinate quarterly and annual meetings
  • Perform administrative management duties for managers (e.g., supply orders, expense accounts, purchase orders, etc.)
  • Collaborate with the Associate Care Centre (ACC) on all documentation and the management of all relevant hiring, work stoppage, and termination forms
  • Support managers in their execution of administrative tasks related to payroll (e.g., validating employee time sheets as well as status and position changes, creating work schedules, producing and keeping track of vacation schedules)
  • Coordinate new associate onboarding by helping to plan and organize the orientation session
  • Receive and post material sent by the HR department and organize logistics for related activities, if applicable (e.g., National Hiring Day, Associate Opinion Survey)
  • Support managers and the Talent Acquisition team with recruitment activities for the distribution centre (e.g., posting positions, printing resumes, processing background checks, printing interview guides, creating offer letters)
  • Coordinate various events for the distribution centre (e.g., fundraising campaigns, theme weeks, Holiday celebrations)
  • Act as a first point of contact for distribution centre employees and managers for all questions regarding operations and human resources
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Distribution Centre Director

The qualifications we are looking for:
  • Post-secondary education in related field or equivalent experience is preferred
  • At least three years of experience in coordinating operations and/or human resources
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Quality-focused and detailed-oriented approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with various stakeholders
