What You Can Expect
The candidate(s) hired will support the RP OPS field position. They will be expected to report to the Range and Training Area (RTA) Project Manager (building TA1), and scheduled to work a 40hr work week. The work schedule will consist of four 10hr work days (Mon-Thur), beginning at 0700 and ending at 1730 each day. Their daily work load will consist of working in pairs and inspecting infrastructure within the Range and Training Area, following inspection manuals provided by RP OPS. All data observed during inspections will be entered into a Trimble tablet (data collector also provided) and dropped off at our Geo-Cell for weekly uploads throughout the summer. It would be an asset for the candidate to have experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to assist with data management (picture files etc.) as the summer progresses.
The successful applicant(s) will be expected to operate and ensure the upkeep (not maintenance) of a rental truck provided by RP OPS, and therefore must have a valid Provincial Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and willing to obtain a 404 certification with the intent to be certified for utility trailer and ATV use. They will also be asked to wear a reflective safety vest, hard hat and approved safety footwear, as they will be working in remote, rugged hilly terrain and in all weather conditions. They should also be expected to pack a lunch (daily) as they will be in the RTA for the full day.

Successful candidates will gain office and field experience in construction and /or project management work, and may support in the following tasks:
