About the Role

The Coordinator, Academic Program, oversees the successful delivery of the academic programs in the School of Computing Science. Provides administrative and operational support to Managers and the Directors of the Academic Programs. Supports faculty in curriculum program changes, and manages the ongoing evaluation/planning of the administrative and recruitment activities for the Program, including oversight of the Program\'s web presence, social media activities, and provides academic advice and administrative support to current and prospective students.

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Computing Science or a related discipline, and three years of related experience, including experience in program administration and academic advising within a post-secondary setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Excellent organizational, analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal, written and presentation) skills.
  • Excellent project management and event planning skills.
  • Proficient in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, desktop publishing, and database applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, Adobe, Illustrator, Prezi, FASit).
  • Proficient in the use of student information and enterprise systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
  • Skilled in the use of multimedia and social media tools, techniques, and applications (e.g., YouTube, Twitter, Facebook).
  • Ability to exercise mature judgment, initiative, diplomacy and tact.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to arrange suitable transportation to various work locations.
