About the Job:




The Employee Relations Coordinator will provide support to the Employee & Union Relations team, reporting into and providing daily support to the Senior Employee Relations Specialist, ensuring accurate administrative support, compliance with policies & processes, and positive employee experience. You also will provide high-level administrative support by drafting and preparing documents related to employee relations processes, maintaining accurate records and tracking spreadsheets, and ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding matters. Utilize knowledge of labor relations to support and make decisions on key areas, including (but not limited to) layoffs, accommodations, leave of absence requests, and employment amendments, support the administration of labour relations including provide follow up on outstanding matters, assist with drafting documentation, support ongoing cases and attend external meetings and taking meeting minutes as required, handle initial employee inquiries and escalate issues as needed, maintaining a positive and confidential approach, manage the team inbox by responding to emails in a timely manner and escalating urgent matters to the Senior Employee Relations Specialists' when required, assist Team in processing the offboarding process with terminations/resignations, maintain and update employee records including leave and disciplinary files, ensuring high level of discretion, professionalism, and compliance with organizational standards, assist with reports and data analysis related to Employee Relations metrics and trends for management review, review of the Employee & Union Relations SharePoint page, : Provide absence coverage and additional capacity on a temporary, responding to or escalating matters to the appropriate people as needed.

Qualifications:




Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or related field preferred. Previous experience in People and Culture, and administrative roles preferred. Previous experience in a unionized and not-for-profit environment is preferred. Previous experience in HR Information Systems and shared resource directory preferred. All positions are subject to a criminal record check, including vulnerable sector check.
