Under the administrative direction of the Manager, Experiential Learning, the Co-operative Education Coordinator (Co-op Coordinator) works collaboratively as part of a team supporting students and new and existing WIL employer partners to engage in meaningful and relevant co-operative education and paid work integrated learning (WIL) experiences that align with program learning outcomes. The incumbent promotes WIL opportunities to both students and employers, coordinates co-op/work term application and transfer processes, and develops and maintains key employer relationships through regular meetings and follow-up communication to address recruitment questions and solicit job postings. In conjunction with other Co-op Coordinators, the incumbent is responsible for implementing strategies that integrate academic learning with workplace learning through student communications, site monitoring, and on-going support to students and employers regarding performance and workplace issues.
