The role

Many of the areas in our Finance and Accounting teams are heavily involved in the data gathering, sharing, and reviewing part of this process. As a result, we have need to bring on additional support to assist our teams with the additional workload.

We currently have a vacancy for a Coop student/University intern/New graduate. The position would start as soon as possible, with an expected end date of April 30, 2023. There may be an opportunity to extend the contract past this date. In addition, we are happy to work around your school schedule.

A typical day

Working on a team of analysts who possess advanced skills in SQL Python and data visualization, your duties include but are not limited to:

• Validate aggregated figures based on millions of rows of data
• Work with advanced data storytellers to help support visualizations that drive data-based decision making
• Transforming legacy (excel) reports into dashboards
• Support the execution of production reporting
• Gain exposure to multiple projects, data/reporting tools in a fast-paced environment

Your skills/experience

• High attention to detail and strong organization skills
• Strong technical skills with emphasis on SQL, Relational Databases and Tableau (preferred) with the ability to adapt to new systems and applications quickly.
• Very strong analytical skills and ability to work with large amounts of data. Work will include 'OnPrem' and Cloud environments.
• Be proactive, energetic, fun and enthusiastic approach to your work.
• A flexible attitude towards change and the ability to adapt to new situations, desire to learn. Must be willing to and wanting to work in a team environment with the ability to receive and provide feedback to make our work 'pop'.

Assets:

• Previous work experience in an office setting.
• Experience in a work setting with SQL, Tableau, Tableau Prep an asset
• Experience working with large data sets, the bigger the better.
• Previous work experience in the telecommunications industry or a large company.
