Why is this role important?
Aids the Manager and Architects in Enterprise Architecture Department to develop and maintain two major architectural products:
o Architecture Management Framework
o Architecture Blueprint
Supports the Enterprise Architecture team in developing the annual ITAPA (IT Asset Portfolio Assessment) by participating in data collection, data visualization and documentation.
Monitors various enterprise architecture initiatives progress.
What you'll do
1. Assist Architects with designing and documenting a new Architecture Management Framework in support of a new architecture development process.
2. Assist Architects with developing and documenting Architecture Blueprint 2.0 that includes enterprise business requirements, foundational architectures, reference architectures, technology stack, etc.
3. Visualize and analyze the current status of IT resources (e.g. applications or databases) at CIHI in terms of usage, classification, and risk assessment
4. Monitor PHI access and logging capabilities and ensure that CIHI technologies adheres to privacy legislation.
5. Aid in the development of CIHI's standards inventory, a collection and assessment of all information standards currently being used at CIHI.
6. Research industry trends and best practices in architecture to develop recommendations for CIHI.
7. Identify performance metrics for architecture management.
8. Assist with operational activities related to CIHI's enterprise architecture.
What you'll bring to the table
  • Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate Degree program at an accredited University.
  • Knowledge of and/or interest in architecture management processes.
  • Experience in creating process flows and workflows.
  • Knowledge or awareness of process improvement activities and practices.
  • Knowledge of the eHealth landscape and general processes and best practices.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Microsoft suite of tools to create visualizations (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
  • Project management experience is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
