The Digital Data team at Sanofi Canada is the innovation engine that enables the digital transformation of the company. Our data and business analytics enjoy breaking down complex business problems into effective solutions. Working across the full data paradigm, from product design, through data wrangling, and visualization, our team does it all. In this position you\xe2\x80\x99ll be exposed to data visualization, business analysis, data management and advanced analytics. Leveraging your technical experience, along with sound business acumen, our team is dedicated to answer major questions that help our organization make objective decisions. We are looking for co-op/interns who are passionate about data and AI to join our talented team by bring a data first and AI first mindset to solve business problems.

Students will be exposed to many aspects of our business, with the opportunity to rotate across roles including and not limited to the following:

Product design and MVP generation from molecule to market - R&D through supply chain and manufacturing, through to commercial and corporate functions

Data visualization

Business and product analysis for the development of proprietary data products and applications

Real world data generation and access

Project coordination and management across our portfolio

Data management analysis through foundational data enablement, including data and AI platforms and data governance

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll be doing:

Understanding business data requirements and translate them into technical needs

Partnering with Product Owners, Data Engineers and Data Scientists to develop novel solutions

Completing a variety of analyses to identify root causes of potential problems, along with the development of remediation plans.

Supporting creating of data product marketing/storytelling materials to take to broader user group and organization

Visualizing data to tell a story with actionable insights

Designing solutions to business problems in a modular manner

What\xe2\x80\x99s your experience and education:

You are working towards a degree in Engineering (disciplines such as Engineering Science, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering), Computer Science or similar degrees.

You are currently enrolled as a student at an accredited university and have completed at least two years of study; OR; you are in Graduate Studies (eg. M.Eng, MMA/MMAI) and are seeking an internship to complete your program.

Interested in product management and working in agile

Experience and passion for slide building and visual content creation (e.g., blogs, microsites)

Passionate about working with AI & Machine Learning technology

Can work independently and enjoy taking ownership of projects

You have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or 8.0 on a 12.0 scale

Proficient in several programming languages, such as Python, SQL, bash and technology stacks such as AWS, Snowflake and PowerBI

Note that the line of business that you are assigned to may require specific skills not mentioned in this posting. This role is hybrid 3 days a week in downtown Toronto.

Duration: 12 months with a possibility to extend to 16 months. Few positions will be 8 months.
