Supply Chain at Staples

Got a love for shopping? Do you ever wonder about the 'behind-the-scenes' and how products make it
from production into the customers hands? Staples is one of Canada's largest retailers and we are
looking for a passionate and tech-savvy student to join our team focused on innovating supply chain
strategy. The Supply Chain team at Staples is a front-runner in adoption of innovation, technology and
best practices.

Your passion and curiosity will have you interacting with many team members to refine the supply chain
planning & forecasting process. You can be proud in having an impact that helps our customers - and
you will experience supply chain come to life in our stores and online!

Some of what you will do:

• Support day-to-day inventory management activities for our various merchandising divisions

(Technology, Facilities, Core Supplies, and/or Workspaces)

• Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to propose new ideas and recommendations
• Identify opportunities to improve the supply chain experience leveraging all available insights
• Support research within the supply chain & logistics industry and present the findings
• Assist with any special projects, including B2B or B2C business units.
• Leverage various analytics tools and provide insightful recommendations / process

improvements, supporting our customer needs and business objectives

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Some of what you need

• Strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Strong computer skills (i.e. MS Excel) and an ability to learn new software quickly is critical
• Experience in customer service and/or a retail store environment (or comparable experience)
• Enrollment in a post-secondary education program in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain is

an asset.
