Co-op Student, Mine Mechanical Engineer (Cory, Saskatchewan, Canada)

Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Mechanical Engineer.

This is a 16-month Co-op that begins in May 2024.

What you will do:

• Provide CAD/3D modeling support for the mine maintenance engineering department
• Develop and implement solutions to existing challenges associated with the mining process
• Apply Nutrien\'s core values and principles of engagement during daily tasks
• Collaborate with superintendents, supervisors, trades and operations personnel
• Provide project management assistance for capital projects specific to the mine and shaft areas
• Collect and analyze data from real time monitoring of pumps, conveyor belts and mining machines
• Participate in the assessment of our underground assets and recommend corrective actions
• Work with external service providers, create and send out procurement packages and evaluate quotes/proposals.

What you will bring:

• Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Mechanical Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
