Ontario One Call (OOC) is a Public Safety Administrative Authority; protecting Ontario by enabling safe digging. At OOC, public safety is at the heart of everything we do.


Since 2012, in Ontario, it's the law that any party planning to dig must contact OOC before they dig. OOC connects people planning to dig with the owners of underground pipes, cables, and other infrastructure to help prevent costly damages, service disruptions, and safety hazards. We also regulate an efficient locate system, foster industry wide collaboration, and promote safe, timely excavation across Ontario.


OOC is governed by a diverse Board of Directors, with experienced leaders representing underground infrastructure owners, excavators, ministry appointees and others dedicated to protecting Ontarians. Together, we work to shape a safer Ontario through collaboration, regulation, and education.

Position Overview

The role will assist the Procurement Specialist and Finance team in executing procurement processes, maintaining documentation, and supporting compliance. This role offers exposure to procurement frameworks, vendor management practices, and finance reporting.


Reporting to the Procurement Specialist, this position is located at our head office at 104 Cooper Drive in Guelph, Ontario.

Please note that this position is for current students only. This position is set to start during the Winter 2026 term.

Primary Responsibilities:

Assist with research and data compilation on procurement matters. Assist in preparing and issuing procurement documents. Support vendor evaluation and vendor contract documentation. Help track procurement timelines, approvals, and compliance requirements. Maintain procurement records and assist with reporting. Participate in procurement-related meetings and take minutes.

Qualifications:

Enrolled in a post-secondary program in a Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or Public Administration program. Strong communication and organizational skills. Interest in procurement and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Microsoft Sharepoint, and experience with procurement tools is an asset.
