Discover more about potash at Nutrien! An exciting co-op opportunity awaits a motivated student at our Lanigan Potash Mine beginning May 2024 for a 16 month term (May 2024 - August 2025). This is a temporary, full-time, hourly-paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. This position is not available for remote work.

What you will do:

• Assist with a variety of electrical engineering tasks
• Support ongoing and new engineering studies, existing asset inspection/condition reporting, drawing updates, and document control
• Design work and project management are potential opportunities depending on the aptitude of the candidate

What you will bring:

• Must be currently enrolled and completed at least 2 years of an undergraduate Electrical and/or Computer Engineering program (or equivalent) at an accredited post-secondary institution AND returning to full-time studies after the work term.
• Experience working in a mining or industrial environment is preferred
• Superior interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills are essential
• Positive safety behavior and safety leadership
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a team environment as well as independently
• Willingness to learn and gain adequate knowledge and experience through training
