Job Description
Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada's largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company's continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
The Role: Reporting to the Produce Department Head (or his/her delegates), the Produce Cooler Keeper is responsible to manage produce storage area, including coolers. The position also needs to provide good customer service to our customers by fulfilling their requests, maintain inventory and workplace cleanliness.
Major Responsibilities: Manage the receiving of products, conduct quality inspection and placing products to the store
Maintain inventory and product quality; follow FIFO concept; and ensure proper display of various products
Sort, pack, and label various produce products and put them in the storage & promotion coolers
Maintain storage area cleanliness, wash and maintain relevant work tools are clean and well-kept
Keep warehouse, display and walk-in coolers clean and tidy
Follow procedures to process produce inventory control reports
Perform any other duties as assigned by the superior
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
Complete secondary education and above Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with products and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ?) environment regularly Knowledge of basic work safety Not allergic in handling produce products Relevant experience in handling produce products is preferred Friendly and have a passion to serve our customers Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays
