Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook/Baker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in takeout restaurant settings, and possess a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while delivering high-quality meals to our customers both online and in store.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Nigeria/ Africa cooking, Baking culinary arts, or other related field
• Food handler certificate is a must
• Must be able to work independently without supervision after training
• Must have car
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques and strong baking skills is an asset
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well in independently with or without supervision
• Experience in Africa kitchen settings will be advantages
• Self motivation and passion for Cooking is a must
• Must have innovative skills
• Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to details.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
• Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
• Previous experience in the food service or restaurant industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00-$16.50 per hour
