We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our meals are prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. As a Prep Cook, you will assist in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Follow recipes and instructions from the head chef to ensure consistency in food preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods. Participate in the cleaning of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces after use.

Qualifications

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food handling techniques and food safety regulations is essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high standards of quality. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with other kitchen staff. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including evenings and weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
