Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the food preparation process, ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for our chefs to create delicious meals. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety and handling procedures, as well as a passion for the food industry.

Duties

Prepare and chop vegetables, meats, and other ingredients according to recipes and specifications. Assist in meal preparation by following instructions from chefs and ensuring timely service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during all food handling processes. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow during busy service times.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is essential. Familiarity with food safety guidelines and best practices in food handling. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills in meal preparation.

Pay: $15.24-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
