Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This role is essential in supporting our cooks and chefs in delivering high-quality food service while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as directed by the cooking staff. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Support cooks in food preparation tasks to ensure timely service during peak hours. Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards to prevent contamination and ensure the health of our customers. Help with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting shortages to kitchen management. Follow all safety protocols while handling kitchen equipment and tools. Participate in training sessions to improve skills related to food handling and preparation.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of food safety practices and procedures is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen. Good communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen staff. Must be able to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as needed in a kitchen setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 40 per week
