Main duties
1) prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods,
2) maintain inventory and records of food, suppliers and equipment
3) Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be able to set up and oversee buffets
4) clean kitchen and work area
5) Assist in planning menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs and monitor and order supplies,
6) specialize in preparing and cooking ethnic cuisine or special dishes
7) Oversee kitchen operations
Employment requirements -
1) One year experience in a kitchen
2) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
3) Experience with hot and cold food preparation
4) Minimum of a high school diploma.
5) A diploma from culinary school would be an asset.
5) Experience with ethnic cuisine
6)Food Handler's Course (willing to train)
7)WHMIS and First Aid courses would be an asset but willing to train
