Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate has experience in Chinese cuisine, works well in a fast-paced environment, and follows food safety and hygiene standards.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards Serve customers efficiently and courteously, ensuring a positive dining experience Handle food safely and maintain cleanliness in all food preparation areas Assist with meal assembly and presentation to meet quality standards Follow food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations Support kitchen staff during busy periods by assisting with food prep and other tasks as needed Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies to prevent spoilage or contamination
Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent Valid FoodSafe Level 1 certification Previous experience cooking Chinese food preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and organized

Experience

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards Familiarity with serving procedures and customer service best practices Experience handling various types of food products and ingredients Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Strong understanding of the importance of hygiene, safety, and quality control in the food industry
