Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Lead Cook to join our culinary team. The Lead Cook will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our food offerings while leading kitchen staff in meal preparation and food service operations. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety practices, excellent cooking skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation meets quality standards. Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff in food handling, safety practices, and cooking techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Ensure proper storage of food items to minimize waste and maintain freshness. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. MUST HAVE A CAR AND A VALID DRIVER LICENSE .

Experience

Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment is essential. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety standards. Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen. Previous leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
