Are you passionate about cooking and love working by yourself? Hyatt Place Windsor is looking for dedicated and skilled Cook to join our team. We're seeking individuals who can make delicious and memorable meals for our guests, ensuring every plate meets the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards Work independently, due to the size of the hotel and kitchen, you will be working by yourself to prepare all meals Ensure all food is properly cooked, and beautifully presented Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in line with health regulations Prepping and setting up workstations before service Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in a timely fashion Follow food safety guidelines and proper storage procedures Assist in inventory management, including stocking and ordering supplies as needed Inspecting equipment to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices Adapt to a fast-paced environment and assist in various kitchen tasks as required Responsible for cleaning all dishes and putting away

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant is required Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety standards Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Culinary certification or equivalent experience is an asset Food Handling Certificate Required
The hours are usually 3-11pm or 4-11pm. Need to be available Friday and Saturday evenings.

As a line cook you will need to be able to multi task and work well under pressure.
