Prepare and cook a variety of dishes focusing on Mediterranean and Italian cuisines.
- Plan and execute daily menus, follow standardized recipes, and adjust as needed for quality and consistency.
- Bake a range of goods as needed, including sweet and savory pastries and other baked items; design and implement new pastry items as appropriate.
- Work with fresh, seasonal ingredients; maintain proper storage, portioning, and waste control.
- Monitor kitchen equipment and maintain clean, safe working areas in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure timely service and consistent product quality.
- Maintain documentation: recipes, prep sheets, and inventory, and track compliance with dietary guidelines.
- Communicate clearly in English; participate in briefings and prep meetings.
- Demonstrate responsibility, punctuality, and ownership of duties.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in cooking and baking.
- Proficiency with Mediterranean and Italian flavor profiles preferred.
- Experience baking a variety of goods; ability to adapt to different recipes and produce consistently high-quality results.
- Ability to follow recipes exactly and scale as needed; adapt to available ingredients.
- Comfort working with commercial kitchen equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent work ethic, reliability, and teamwork.
- English-speaking; good communication skills.
