Job Description


Main Duties:

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in the preparation, cooking, and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Manage kitchen operations
Experience and Specialization:
  • Previous experience in the food industry or as a cook is preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment
  • Familiarity with meal preparation and portion control
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Cusine specialties (Canadian)
