We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that each dish is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires a commitment to excellence in food service and an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure that all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and meal preparation techniques.

Skills

Strong knowledge of food service practices within the food industry. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Proficient in meal preparation techniques, including cooking methods, seasoning, and presentation. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy restaurant or kitchen environment. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly with other kitchen staff. Attention to detail in both cooking and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred but not required.

Pay: $17.20-$20.31 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
