Tasks

Co-ordinate special events Determine the size of food portions and costs Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization Requisition food and kitchen supplies Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances Inspect kitchens and food service areas Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment Clean kitchen and work areas Organize buffets and banquets Manage kitchen operations Wash windows, walls and ceilings Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture Stock linen closet Shop for food and household supplies Pick up debris and empty trash containers Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties Maintain inventory of supplies Launder clothing and household linens Dust furniture Distribute clean towels and toiletries Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items Housekeeping activities Make beds and change sheets Provide basic information on facilities Bring clean dishes, flatware and other items to serving areas and set tables Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors Clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances
