Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and menus.
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
Assist in the planning of menus, taking into account seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, including proper storage of food items.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, communicating needs to management.
Adhere to all health and safety guidelines within the kitchen environment.
Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food handling practices.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food service industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for handling food.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
