We are seeking a person who does not just show up for work but enjoys and cares about their performance. We are a small restaurant and teamwork and a positive energy is essential. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in cooking (Mexican cuisine a plus), and food preparation. A commitment to food safety, quality and detail is important as we want our customers to have a wonderful experience.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
Handle food safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
Assist with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing any guest inquiries or concerns promptly.
Qualifications
Able to legally work in Canada.
Previous experience in a restaurant environment.
Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Spanish is a plus but not essential.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends is required.
