Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong understanding of food preparation and safety standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant. This position is for afternoons and evenings and the restaurant is closed Sundays.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Help train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures and cooking techniques.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals.
