Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of taste and presentation. This position requires a collaborative spirit and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

Co-ordinate special events and also determine the size of food portions and costs. Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization. Requisition food and kitchen supplies. Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods. Inspect kitchens and food service areas. Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food. Order supplies and equipment, and also supervise kitchen staff and helpers. Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Clean kitchen and work areas and manage kitchen operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals for guests.
