To achieve this, we have developed The Globe Pulsed Field System - we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
We have now completed our pivotal clinical study, and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.
We have recently installed a brand-new commercial kitchen to serve our growing employee base. The Cook will be a pivotal role on the Catering team in providing fresh, hot lunches daily, along with breakfast and snack items. The role reports to the Executive Chef and there are several positions available.
Please note this opportunity is an onsite work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
Prepare and cook a variety of food items, including appetizers, entrees, desserts, and special dietary meals, following standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients, tools, and equipment before service begins.
Perform basic food preparation tasks such as washing, chopping, slicing, peeling, and seasoning ingredients.
Operate and maintain various kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, fryers, stoves, and other cooking apparatus, ensuring they are clean and in good working order.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation throughout the cooking process and before serving.
Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and served in a timely manner.
Adhere strictly to all food health and safety regulations, sanitation guidelines, and hygiene standards.
Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, receiving deliveries, and properly storing all food items and supplies to prevent spoilage and waste.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment, including workstations, cooking areas, utensils, and equipment.
Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Assist with cleaning and closing duties at the end of shifts, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to the supervisor immediately.
May provide guidance or assistance to kitchen helpers or less experienced staff.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
