Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and standards, ensuring quality and presentation. Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients for various dishes. Serve food and beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner, maintaining high service standards. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques at all times. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed.

Experience

Must have previous experience in a long term care home is preferred. Familiarity with kitchen equipment and cooking techniques is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential. Experience in meal preparation, cooking, or food handling will be considered an asset. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are required. Pay: $21.00-$22.00 per hour
