We are hiring an accomplished line cook that has experience working in a professional kitchen environment. This position is both daytime and evenings. We are a fast paced busy restaurant and prepare all our food from scratch. We take pride in using quality ingredients, sourcing locally as possible and creating a positive healthy work environment. We are looking to hire an individual who is able to be a leader and take charge within this position.

Responsibilities:
? Food preparation, production and working line station
? Maintains standards set of preparation, garnishing and presentation of food
? Supervise and inspect all preparation and cooking equipment on a regular basis to ensure that they are kept clean, sanitary, and in good operating order
? Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in conjunction with the specifications
? Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met
? Confidence with handling a food inspection
? Adheres to kitchen best cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation practices
? Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
? Reports to head chef.
Qualifications:
? Formal culinary training trade papers, red seal or equivalent preferred
? Minimum 2 years combined experience in the trade of cooking
? Excellent record of kitchen experience
? Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and front of house
? Safe Food Handling Certification
? Ability to lift 50 lbs required
? Ability to bend, stand, and stoop for long periods of time, and working long hours in hot conditions
? Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
? Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities.
