Scope of Position:
The kitchen staff is responsible for producing meals for residents and guests using production checks and standardized recipes.
Position allows for 52.50 hours bi-weekly.
Availability to work every other weekend required.
Job Requirements:
1. Must have a Canadian work permit
2. Must be able to commute (Rideau Ferry Country Home, 1333 Rideau Ferry Rd, Perth, ON K7H 3C7)
3. Safe Food Handling Certificate
Key Responsibilities:
Food ordering. Prepares meals for residents and guests ensuring dietary needs are met. Participates as a member of the dining services team and provides support to the other members of the services team. Prepares and presents meals and food for special events in a manner that promotes a positive image and reputation to the public at large. Complies with all food preparation standards and health and safety requirements. Operates and cleans food production equipment and food preparation areas. Is alert to, remedies, and promptly reports all actual or potentially hazardous situations. Performs other duties as assigned.
