Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of seafood and traditional menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
Ensure proper portioning, presentation, and consistent food quality for every dish.
Set up and stock kitchen stations with necessary ingredients and supplies.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and overall kitchen area.
Follow food safety guidelines and sanitation procedures at all times.
Monitor inventory and communicate shortages or required restocking to the supervisor.
Assist with receiving deliveries and ensuring product quality and proper storage.
Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
Adjust to dietary restrictions or special guest requests when needed.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Skills
Proven cooking experience in a commercial or high-volume kitchen, preferably with seafood.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen sanitation.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
Good knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods and techniques.
Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Ability to multitask and prioritize kitchen duties effectively.
Attention to detail, especially in presentation and portion control.
