We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Cook to fill a Casual position at the Prince Rupert Regional Hospital.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health and working within the scope of Regional Northern Health (NH) Policies and Processes, the NH Regional Food Safety Plan and the NH Regional Food Sanitation Plan, this position performs duties related to the preparation and cooking of food items; portioning and serving food, washing and cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils and designated cooking/workstations. Responsible for assigning tasks to designated Food Service Workers.
Prince Rupert Regional Hospital
is a 24-bed facility that sees an average of 22,000 ER visits per year. It is a fully equipped facility with Medical Imaging, Laboratory, ICU, ER and Maternity. Services include:

Qualifications
Graduation from a recognized 12-month program in cooking or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Physical ability to carry out the duties of this position.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to operate related equipment.
