Mount Saint Joseph\'s Hospital is currently looking for casual/on-call Cooks who can provide at least 3 work day availability per week. About You

  • You are available to work on weekdays and weekends
  • You can provide at least 3 work availabilities per week
  • You\'ve graduated from a recognized 12-month program in cooking or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • You have a Food Safe Certificate Level 1, and it\'s current.
  • Experience cooking with a wok (preferred but not required)

This an extraordinary chance for you to work in healthcare. You will report directly to the Food Services Manager, and your responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing assigned food items by following established menus, recipes, and quantity quotas
  • Following established cooking schedules and meeting established resident/staff meal periods
  • Performing duties in accordance with all sanitation and safety requirements (for example, HACCP and WHMIS).
  • Reporting injuries and safety hazards to the Manager (or designate) immediately.
