We are currently seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated
Cook
to join our kitchen team in Hampton. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering high-quality meals with consistency and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods according to recipes and standards
Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
Oversee kitchen operations when required, including opening and closing duties
Monitor food stock and place orders when necessary
Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
Train or assist in the training of kitchen staff as needed
Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Qualifications:
Proven cooking experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Team player with a positive and professional attitude
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Culinary education or Red Seal certification is an asset but not required
Work Conditions:
Standing for extended periods and working in a hot environment
Lifting and moving supplies or equipment up to 50 lbs
