Ressam Gardens Memory Care Community is looking for an enthusiastic team member. As a Food Service Worker, you will be essential in delivering high-quality meal preparation and food service in our establishment. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, your core skills in food handling, cooking, and food safety will ensure that all meals meet our high standards and Health and Safety Guidlines.

You will also utilize your premium certified skills in serving to enhance the dining experience for our Residents. A valid Food Handler Certification and proficiency in English are required to maintain compliance and effective communication within our team. At least one year experience in a Retirement home, long term care or Hotel setting. Join us in creating memorable dining experiences through exceptional service and culinary excellence.

The cook is responsible for the preparation and production of all meals as listed on the weekly menu, dining room service and additional duties as assigned.

The ideal candidates will possess:

Must have experience in the dietary and or culinary environment.

Knowledge of Canada's Food Guide

Safe Food Handlers Certificate

Competency in written and spoken English

Good interpersonal, communication and organizational ability

Police clearance and 2-Step TB Test

Have a caring and compassionate attitude towards residents, employees and families
