We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and skilled Cook to join our culinary services team at our healthcare partner. The ideal candidate will have a passion for preparing nutritious meals and a strong understanding of dietary requirements in a health-focused environment. As a Cook, you will play a critical role in supporting the health and well-being of residents or patients by preparing meals that are safe, nourishing, and enjoyable.

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid Food Handler Certificate (required) COVID-19 Vaccination (required) Vulnerable Sector Police Check (required) 2-Step Tuberculosis (TB) Test or Chest X-Ray (proof required) Previous experience in healthcare, senior living, or institutional food service is an asset Ability to understand and accommodate dietary restrictions and texture modifications Strong knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as required

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred. Familiarity with food handling, preparation, and safety protocols. Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines is an advantage. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a kitchen setting.

Expected hours: 40 per week
