Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare professional to join our team. This position requires a passion for working with young children, along with the ability to assist in meal preparation and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
Responsibilities
Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children, adhering to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food handling regulations. Ensure meals meet the nutritional needs of the children in accordance with the daycare's food policies and Alberta Child Care regulations. Manage food storage, preparation, and handling to ensure food safety and minimize waste. Monitor the cleanliness and maintenance of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene. Work closely with the daycare team to accommodate special dietary requirements or allergies, ensuring all children have safe and nutritious meals. Maintain records of food inventory and meal preparation for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a daycare or childcare setting Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices is highly desirable. Completion of a food safety training course approved by AHS (ex: Food Handler Certificate)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
Work Location: In person
