Job Summary
We are looking for a
Cook
to join our team and bring culinary expertise to our large-scale production environment. This is a hands-on role focused on
recipe development, product improvement, and ensuring consistent quality
across all our menu items. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and experienced in
commercial kitchen or commissary-style food production
.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and standardize recipes for sandwiches, salads, burritos, and other ready-to-eat and frozen items.
Work with production and quality assurance teams to scale recipes for manufacturing.
Ensure consistent taste, presentation, and portioning across all products.
Support new product launches with testing, sampling, and production line trials.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food trends and help innovate new product ideas.
Monitor ingredient quality, food safety, and compliance with CFIA and HACCP standards.
Work with production staff on recipe execution, assembly standards, and safe food handling.
Assist in improving efficiency, reducing waste, and maintaining high production standards.
Qualifications
Red Seal certification or equivalent culinary education preferred.
3+ years of experience as a
Cook
in a
high-volume kitchen, commissary, or food manufacturing setting
.
Strong understanding of large-batch cooking, scaling, and recipe costing.
Strong
knowledge of
HACCP, food safety, and sanitation practices
.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
