Job Details

Start Date: ASAP
Status: Full time and part time
Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday, 7am - 3 PM
Wage: $17.25
Location: Eat Club, Sheridan College, Hazel McCallion Campus, Mississauga ON
Important Information: Valid G driver\'s license and previous cooking experience required

Job Summary

Deliver large food orders to various locations in an area. Prepare food in accordance with applicable corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensure quality food service is provided at all times. Preform supervisory duties such as inventory and others as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, pre-cook, and/or cook food products as directed.
  • Prepare "mes en place" (setting in place of foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, etc) and other products as required for high volume production.
  • Clean kitchen equipment after use according to health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage products in appropriate storage areas.
  • Communicate effectively with all appropriate operational departments.
  • Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Assemble and deliver all food orders to the scheduled locations.
  • Prior to beginning each day\'s route, ensure that truck/vehicle is properly loaded with all products required to properly service all scheduled deliveries.
  • Unload requested products at delivery site.
  • Return items such as unused food and beverages, serving equipment, and utensils.
  • Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment.
  • Keep company vehicle clean and organized at all times; preform pre and post trip vehicle inspections.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook or prep cook.
  • Food Safety Certification required.
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Familiar with industry\'s best practices.
  • Ability to work both independently and in team setting as required.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Valid driver\'s license and good driving record.
  • Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
